George Hammond in Medical Records

I have looked at various kinds of medical records searching for our George Hammond, surgeon-apothecary of Waltham Abbey, died 1809. Unfortunately, none of the below make a match but are included to show where I have looked.

Medic licences issued by the Archbishop of Canterbury 1535-1775:
Hamond, George (of London) 1623
Hamond, George, apothecary, of Tauntan Deane, Somerset,

St. Bartholomew's Hospital - London (Query in 2012)
"I am afraid that I cannot tell you if a George Hammond was studying here before 1781. Our earliest records of students only date from 1807, and even at that stage they are not formal records, just a note in one surgeon's diary about which surgeons students were following on the wards and how much they paid to attend. The medical school was not formally established until well into the 19th century, I have attached an information sheet about medical education at Barts, which I hope you find interesting. I hope this is helpful and I am sorry that I could not be of further assistance.

Yours sincerely,
